We are excited to offer full time and part time Esthetics programs flexible enough to attend while continuing to stay in the work force.

MASTER ESTHETICIAN FULL PROGRAM

1200 hours total

The Master Esthetics curriculum at SWEI is designed to move the esthetician well beyond basic esthetics skills with advanced therapies and protocols. 

Master Esthetics Theory:

All of the below listed in the Basic Esthetics Program plus,

  • Advanced Histology of the Cell and the Skin Hormones
  • Anatomy and Physiology: Muscles and Nerves
  • Anatomy and Physiology: The Cardiovascular and Lymphatic Systems
  • Chemistry and Biochemistry
  • Laser, Light Energy, and Radio Frequency Therapy
  • Advanced Skin Disorders Skin
  • Typing and Aging Analysis
  • Skin Care Products: Chemistry, Ingredients, and Selection
  • Ingredients and Products for Skin Issues
  • Pharmacology for Estheticians
  • Advanced Facial Devices
  • Working in a Medical Spa Setting
  • Medical Terminology
  • The Estheticians Role in Pre- and Post-Medical Treatments
  • First Aid / CPR

Practical Application Includes:

All of the above listed in the Esthetics Program plus,

  • Advanced Facial Massage and Lymphatic Drainage
  • Microneedling
  • Chemical Peels
  • Externship for advanced esthetics equipment

BASIC ESTHETICIAN PROGRAM

Our 750 hour state licensure program offers an insightful process in educating future estheticians.  Guided by our trained and experienced instructors, our students discover their potential.  Students apply their newly developed skills within a working spa learning environment that is both challenging and demands their active participation.  The result is a group of inspired and proficient individuals with a drive for learning and a motivation to succeed.  Find out more about our course offerings below.

The Esthetics Curriculum at SWEI includes classroom instruction in theory and in-spa practical application to prepare our students for all areas of Esthetics.

Classroom Theory Includes:

  • Business of Esthetics
  • Cleaning and Disinfection
  • Safety, sanitation/disinfection, bacteriology and infection control
  • Anatomy
  • Histology
  • Physiology
  • Diseases and disorders of the skin
  • First Aid
  • Purpose and effect derived from a facial treatment
  • In-depth analyzation of all skin types and ethnic groups
  • Recognition of skin diseases and disorders
  • Product knowledge and ingredient evaluation
  • Theory of facial massage, types and purpose, benefits of manipulations
  • Nutrition pertaining to health and function of skin
  • Glycolics
  • AHA'S
  • Extractions, safety, sanitation/disinfection protocol
  • Electricity and Light Therapy
  • Electrical currents and their application
  • Correct procedure for application of Galvanic Currents
  • Usage of various machines and equipment 

Practical Application Includes:

  • Facials
  • In-depth skin analyzation
  • Preventive, corrective and specific skin treatments for all types of skin
  • Wax depilatory - including body and facial waxing
  • Lash and brow tinting and shaping
  • Make-up application and color analyzation
  • Contraindications and safety of application
  • Sanitation/Disinfection and Safety

MASTER ESTHETICIAN (for someone who already has their Washington Esthetician License)

Program for those who already have an active Washington State Esthetician License.

Application Fee $100 (non-refundable due upon submission of application)

Esthetics Program (750 Hours)

Includes training program, First Aid/CPR Certification, NCEA Membership and esthetics text books.

Kit Option 2 Includes a Chrome Book.  A computer is required, if you do not have a laptop for use, you will be provided one in your kit.

How to Apply:

2. Schedule an interview with the school director.

3. Submit your cover letter, resume, complete school application (link here), copy of high school diploma or GED and application fee (non-refundable $100).

  • What inspired you to become an Esthetician.
  • What is your learning style? What motivates you in learning?
  • What are your goals and vision for your future?
